Verdict
There is a cracking line-up for this feature nursery and Mark Johnston, who had five original entries for this event relies on Spirit Of France, who can beat Donyana and Mighty Empire. This son of Anabaa has earned top-weight for this valuable event after putting in some decent performances. The most recent was at Ascot in August when finishing second to Justaquestion in the Shergar Cup, if running up to that form he will take all the beating. Donyana comes here following a comfortable maiden victory at Salisbury and as that was only her second outing she is open to any amount of improvement. Mighty Empire hails from a stable in top form and having been successful over the seven furlong trip here a couple of runs back, should be capable of going close over this slightly longer trip. Of the others Shivaree has put up some good displays against smart opposition, so should also be considered, but in a race that takes some working out, Spirit Of France is just given the nod.
