    Verdict

Romola won by eight lengths at Nottingham but the margin of victory was exaggerated by the heavy ground. However, she only has a 6lb penalty so a follow-up is not out of the question. ROCK THE CRADLE has gone up 5lb for winning by a neck at Sandown but Ed Vaughan’s gelding seems to be heading in the right direction and may take all the beating again. Battle Of Waterloo was second at Musselburgh earlier this month but both victories to date have come on Polytrack, as have those of Fintas. Sandret isn’t running badly but looks on a high enough mark.
