In depth

Verdict

The three-year-olds are not getting lumps of weight from in-form older horses and face no easy task. Takumi keeps finding one too good yet continues to creep up the weights. Fox Vardy may be progressing but looks a tricky ride but Great Bear probably didn’t stay last time at Doncaster. French import DRAMATIC DEVICE has run well in all three starts for Chris Wall. His dam over over 1m4f so the step up in distance shouldn’t be a problem and he may be better handicapped than versatile Ripon winner Beyond The Clouds and Stamford Raffles.
