Verdict
Pass The Port is the form horse and is thus selected although we wouldn't be surprised were Irish Quest to land the spoils. The selection is in the form of his life at present and his only defeat in his last three starts came in a higher grade than this. He's only been raised 3lbs for his latest win and if he handles this faster ground (and there seems no reason as to why he shouldn't be effective on it) then he has every chance of going in again. Irish Quest was a long way below par at Kempton but has been given a break and his yard have been firing in the winners in recent days. He was well supported last time and he has leading claims on the pick of his form; strong market support would look significant. Brief Goodbye still has a bit to prove at this trip and Wind Flow has to prove he can do it on grass whilst Power Player has both questions to answer. This looks to revolve around the top two and preference is for Pass The Port given his better recent form.
