In depth

Verdict

From a short list containing Tahdeed, Know The Law and Jaleela, we will side with Tahdeed in the opener. A 250,000 guineas son of Green Desert, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Tahdeed would have to be of plenty of interest if attracting money on his debut. Sir Michael also sends out Al Badeya, who cost 380,000 guineas but he looks the second string on jockey bookings. A 105,000 guineas son of Danehill Dancer, the David Elsworth-trained Know The Law has to be of interest on his debut. John Gosden's Novikov, who is also a son of Danehill Dancer, showed improvement from run one to two and, given that he can improve again, is not ruled out of things, while David Elsworth also saddles Saviour Sand who proved a little disappointing overall at two but would be a danger to all if he's strengthened up over the winter. Jaleela's Ascot debut suggested plenty of potential, and she is possibly a stronger option than the same stable's Oh Mary. With Luca Cumani also fielding a representative in Scripted, this race has a decent look to it with the selection being Tahdeed.
