      Verdict

      Balgair finished runner-up over track and trip before struggling in this higher grade and Arigato is another with something to prove at this level having placed at Epsom last time. Al Jellaby wasn’t beaten far over 1m2f at Windsor but is proving hard to win with while Baba Ghanouj also drops in distance having returned a losing favourite at Sandown. ALMASHRIQ is yet another returning to a mile having found life tough in a Class 2 handicap here a fortnight ago. First-time headgear and the drop in class could see a much better effort from John Gosden’s colt and he gets another chance.
