      Verdict

The vote here goes to Unique Moment, from a shortlist that also contains Manouche, Porters and Penny Whisper. Unique Moment is better than his Beverley nursery might suggest as he was hampered early on before staying. In what is not a strong affair, he looks sure to be competitive today. Manouche is improving, and his Sandown third last time suggested he has more to come, so he gets a shout, while Porters has already won here and was not disgraced when attempting to follow that up at Newbury in a much better event than this, and he gets a very solid mention. Penny Whisper improved to win at Newcastle last time but more is needed today and Fusili has been absent since showing promise earlier in the season. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Unique Moment.
