Cape, Russian Rocket and Balakiref are the ones for the shortlist and we shall chance Cape in the finale. James Fanshawe's representative ran a solid race in a recent Nottingham maiden and having demonstrated form on a surface of this nature, there is every reason to believe that she is capable of more. Russian Rocket has been campaigned on faster ground. He does have form on a softer surface so it would be no surprise to see her go close. Balakiref is well exposed but the ability to handle the ground is paramount and he is proven under today's conditions. Cesar Manrique has had plenty of chances and is starting to look exposed. Hidden Dragon is technically well treated on his old form but has not sparkled since returning from Dubai. Roman Quintet will be a decent price and with the booking of Philip Robinson, he should not be too readily dismissed. A competitive race to round off proceedings and we shall side with Cape.
