In depth

Verdict

Lady Makfi was on a mark of 52 when she gained her first all-weather victory in May and is now on 79. She's taking another step up in class here but is progressing so fast that she should be in the shake-up. Perestroika ran a superb race when just failing to concede Dubka 11lb in a Class 2 at Salisbury so she will be difficult to beat over this extra furlong but Kiltara is yet to recapture her juvenile form. PURPLE MAGIC (NAP) was always travelling nicely when scoring over this trip at Newbury and, though raised 6lb, looks a filly worth following in the latter part of the season so is taken to complete a hat-trick. Great And Small makes her handicap debut after narrowly landing a Chelmsford maiden while Fashion Parade didn't give her true running when stepped up to 1m6f at Salisbury.
