Verdict
A poor contest where ANOTHER TRY is taken to complete a hat-trick, while Convince might prove next best. The selection showed little until popping up at a decent price at Southwell last month, before following up on fast ground at Lingfield last time. A 4lb rise has resulted, but pedigree suggests that this step up in trip will be a positive and may help him to find a fair bit more improvement, so we will side with him. Convince has won three of his last six, at both 6f and 7f, and the eight-year-old has the ability to get involved, although the ground may be too lively for him. Pretty Officer remains a maiden after 13 starts and takes a marked drop in trip here from 10f. It is hard to see her having the speed from what we have seen. Compton's Eleven has been out of form but is a potential fly in the ointment, having won off a stone higher mark last summer, and if back on song he would be a major player, but Another Try looks to have a great chance of doing the treble here.
