Verdict

Tone The Barone went up 7lb for scoring over this trip at Windsor then found the minimum trip too short at Haydock. Queen Of Burgundy was carrying a 6lb penalty for a shock victory at Leicester when running really well at Ripon but has gone up another 2lb. TRIPLE DISTILLED ran well in a Class 3 handicap at Pontefract so gets the nod in this slightly lower grade but The Night Watch couldn’t handle heavy ground at Haydock and should do better. Mrs Discombe makes her handicap debut but has disappointed in her two runs this campaign.
