In depth

Verdict

Chin Wag should be good enough to take this with Part Timer and Brainy Benny put forward as the main dangers. The selection made a winning debut at Leicester before finishing a fair third behind Hamoody here last time. This is the acid test for him as it will tell us just how progressive he is but he is a likeable colt and we are prepared to stick with him. Brainy Benny is a well-bred newcomer and if the market were to speak in his favour then he would have to be considered as the yard are in reasonable form. However, the likelihood is that Part Timer will give our selection the most to think about. This colt from the Mick Channon yard made a favourable impression when beating Invincible Force last time but that was over the minimum trip and he is stepped-up to 6f tonight. Russian Silk won well at Carlisle when beating Bollin Franny and she is another worth a look in the market, but Chin Wag may be quite useful and gets our vote.
