Some top yards are represented here and we will side with the Barry Hills trained Anchor Date, with Prime Number and Working Late put forward as the main dangers. The selection showed plenty of ability in his first season and proved he had wintered well with an excellent second behind Takhleed in a decent maiden at Leicester last time. He was doing his best work at the end and should be suited by this extra furlong. Prime Number made a very pleasing debut at Goodwood behind Great Plains. The form of that event is working out well and so he has to be given every respect. John Gosden landed this contest twelve months ago and he runs Working Late who was quietly fancied when a promising sixth behind War At Sea at Goodwood last time. Love Me Tender and Something have shown enough to warrant a mention but Anchor Date appears to have the strongest overall form and gets our vote.
