In depth

Verdict

In the claimer, Fairly Honest is selected ahead of Mike Is Back and Red Current. Fairly Honest is the highest-rated of the field and holds major claims on his first attempt at this level, particularly based on his Windsor third to Fever on good to soft two runs ago. Mike Is Back seems to have found his niche at today's level, winning and being placed second in this grade in his last two runs; he likes to get his toe in too. Red Current hails form a strong yard and is another that is dropping to this grade for the first time, although his soft-ground efforts thus far have been modest. Best of the rest looks to be Metropolitan Chief, who drops to this grade for the first time but who has shown some promise but, for the selection, we will stick with Fairly Honest.
