Verdict
In a tricky finale, Sundae is selected ahead of Bridge It Jo and Daddy Cool. Using formlines involving Black Moma, Star Strider and Rocker, then Obstructive is closely weighted with the last two-named of those horses today based on Windsor, May, good to firm form, and Sundae has to find some improvement to get the best of things today. That said, Sundae looked a very much improved performer when winning at Sandown last time on good to soft and could well have the scope for the greater improvement. Baileys Outshine looks held as he finished in the ruck in the Windsor race referred to. Bridge It Jo goes on good to soft and, in the main, had been performing without disgrace in Listed company until running pretty well over six furlongs on her handicap debut last time. She is entitled to some thought today. Much as Daddy Cool is five pounds above his winning Thirsk mark of last time, Sohraab, the horse he beat at Kempton in March, won off a mark of 80 here on Saturday. He too should be respected. For the selection, though, we will stick with Sundae.
