Plenty of chances in a cracking heat and maybe the time is right for HAWKEYETHENOO to resume winning ways. He has developed into a fine sprinter at the top level, always there or thereabouts, and Jim Goldie's stable star and fine servant will have no issues stepping up a furlong. Pastoral Pursuits was so unlucky not to land a Haydock Group 3 last time and holds Red Jazz on that running. It be no surprise were he to go one better here while Libranno chases what would be a splendid third successive victory in this contest but looks to face a really tough examination at the weights and Richard Hughes has opted for stablemate Producer, a six-time winner over this trip. The others have plenty to find at the weights however.
