    Verdict

The two Godolphin contenders look the ones to focus on and both seem sure to improve considerably on achievements to date. Choosing between the pair is tricky but GREAT TIMING gave the impression there would be a lot more to come when just failing to reel in the winner at Sandown and is narrowly preferred to Ghanaian, a smooth Salisbury scorer on reappearance. Forgive and Majestic Oasis look to have rather a lot to do conceding weight to such promising types and any danger may come from the foot of the handicap where lurk Sharqawiyah and Tosca, who finished one-two at Nottingham last time. There's little between them at the weights but the winner created a good impression that day and is taken to uphold the form.
