In depth

Verdict

DAN BREEN is taken to follow up in the finale at the expense of Island Oscar and Noble Chic. It is never easy for a young horse to win back-to-back bumpers with a penalty to carry but as this race looks poor in quality he looks more than capable of doing just that. He won nicely on his debut for the Pipe team and if at his best he will take all the beating. Both Irish raiders Island Oscar and Noble Chic travel across the Irish Sea to contest in this modest bumper and have both shown a moderate amount of ability in a few Irish races. It is a long way to come for such an event so the market should be the best guide to their chances. Dan Breen has already proved his ability and looks the percentage call.
