In depth

Verdict

AP McCoy was on board for both of Finch Flyer's recent victories over hurdles and takes the ride again though his mount may find this ground too testing. The ground is also a bit of a concern for Gud Day, who could hardly have won more easily on good going at Uttoxeter last Sunday. His penalty is wiped out by his rider's claim and if the ground dries out he's the one to beat. The Lemonpie is another who has only won on much quicker going while Clarion Call appears to need further judging by his victory at Bangor. REGAL ONE has joined David Bridgwater from Ireland and was having his first run for the yard when attempting to make all over 2m3f at Stratford in August. He only faded from the last that day and with that under his belt and the shorter trip a bonus he's taken to gain his first success. Quadriller ran well enough on his debut for Philip Hobbs here a month ago and will have come on for the run.
