Desolait has been going well since tackling softer ground but was 7l behind Southway Star at Uttoxeter in July and won't be any better off with the latter when his rider's claim is taken into consideration. Kijivu had a progressive profile in 2010 and will have greatly benefited from her recent run over the C&D where she showed up well for a long way. Behtarini beat Southway Star here in June but was a long way behind that one next time and was beaten in a seller at Catterick and Rime Avec Gentil was also beaten in that lowly grade over this C&D last time. Illysantachristina is generally consistent and should get competitive but it's UNION SAINT who is handed the vote. He won a handicap at Uttoxeter easily and though failing to build on that at Hereford the ground was very fast that day and today's conditions will be more to his liking.
