      Verdict

Several promising types contest this bumper and the form should be worth following. Misterton, second at Taunton and Warwick earlier this year, could be the best of those with experience under Rules as he's getting 7lb from previous winners Sam Noir, Steel Express and Tengri. Ballymountain Boy and Bistouri D'honore have already shown ability in point-to-points and are worth noting but a couple of newcomers also go on the short-list. Sgroppino is one but THE CALLER is preferred as he's by champion stayer Yeats out of an Irish bumper winner and a half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Cogry, who made a winning start in bumpers.
