      Verdict

STUMPED comes from a yard in form and has the ability to win in this selling grade, while Cavalry Twill, Soviet Sceptre and Bet Noire pose as likely dangers. Trainer Andy Haynes has really put himself on the map this season. Whether he wins with three mile chasers or five furlong two-year-old sprinters his horses seem to do well under every code. The selection won in this grade over course and distance in June and has run well in better races since. He was no match for the fast improving Benetwood on his penultimate run and again ran with promise when second to Gracechurch last time out. He is tough and consistent and will prove difficult to beat if at his best. Cavalry Twill is still winless in nineteen attempts but caught the eye when second to Dee Cee Elle over course and distance last time out and another bold run can be expected. Soviet Sceptre has more experience than most and is always respected when turning up at this level, while Bet Noire is less exposed and has run well to finish second and third on his first two hurdle races and could yet still improve. Stumped however, is the most reliable in the field and is a horse worth staying on the right side of.
