In depth

Verdict

LITTLE FIRECRACKER ran well for her new connections last time out and is taken to go one better with both Bathwick Minstrel and Dawn At Sea worth noting. The selection finished second to Danish Monarch last time out and has shot up ten pounds in the ratings as a consequence. She will have more to do this time around but if recapturing the same level of form she is sure to be in contention come the business end of the race. Bathwick Minstrel was a moderate flat campaigner before joining the Pipe operation and has not really set the world alight in three hurdle runs. She is now however running in her first handicap with a low rating of just 87 so any moves in the betting market should be closely monitored. Dawn At Sea finished fourth behind the fast improving Choumakeur at Worcester on his first outing for new connections. That was a solid enough effort and she is another note running off the same mark. Little Firecracker has more on her plate this time around but comes from a yard in great form and is difficult to oppose.
