      Verdict

      A small field goes to post for this Novices hurdle but the main protagonists appear to be Thesis Great Travel and Showpiece, but we will stick with the in form Thesis. The gelding from the Venitia Williams yard has won his last two races in good style. He defeated Montoya in game fashion last time and although he has a double penalty he will again e hard to beat with Tony McCoy taking the ride. Great Travel rates the main danger he is one of the least exposed in the field and is from a top yard and his latest win, in the pointing field shows he has some ability. Showpiece was a good second in a fair hurdle at Kelso last time out and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close but his best efforts of late have come with more cut in the ground. The remainder need top improve on there most recent efforts to trouble the judge.
