Verdict
Tango Royal is set to defy topweight before going chasing, with Howdydoody and Tresor Preziniere out to stop him. Martin Pipe's seven-year-old has been a bit of an in-and-out performer but that has not stopped him picking up a couple of hurdle events, including over the course and distance in July. This is his first outing since, and he has to carry topweight, but the stable's runners always go well fresh, and so Tango Royal will be a popular choice. Howdydoody won two hurdles contests last season but the plan has always been to go chasing on the West-Country circuit, and he will be one to follow during the winter. However, if the selection fails to impress, the Nicholls charge can still be the one to take advantage. The switch back to hurdles had the desired effect on Tresor Preziniere this term, but he is bound to go back over the bigger obstacles soon. Of the rest, Turtle Soup's stable have had a number of runners placed lately, while Central Committee is interesting on his return. Take Tango Royal to oblige.
