Not the strongest of affairs and we are with Banoo although Caoba and Will Excell provide the most likely opposition. Banoo had looked fairly ordinary in her early forays but she demonstrated considerable improvement last time out when finishing a close-up second to Dancingwithbubbles at Southwell and a reproduction of that effort should suffice. Caoba is the pick of the two Hobbs horses if the jockey bookings are anything to go by. Wet weather holds no fears. She ran a solid race at Taunton last time out but it is something of a surprise that the Minehead handler drops her in trip in a search for that first success. Will Excell was disappointing on hurdling debut but had shaped with a degree of promise in bumpers. Any market support is noted. Figurita is a typical Charlie Mann recruit from Germany. She has had her chances and doesn't look particularly straight-forward. Lady Purton has raced previously in point-to-points and could be anything. Posh Emily has regressed on soft going so it remains to be seen whether better ground makes any difference. Simple Gifts has been easy to back in two bumpers thus far. A race that won't take a lot of winning and we are with Banoo.
