In depth

Verdict

Tidal Watch has the most experience over fences and was an eye-catcher in a Southwell handicap at the start of the month. He’ll be looking to make the most of his fencing prowess but it’s not hard to imagine that BEAT THE JUDGE will improve markedly for his staying-on third at Stratford, where he finished well ahead of Diamond Gait and Leapaway. Ashutor won a couple of times over hurdles and will know his job so makes more appeal than Neverbeen To Paris and Midnight Midge.
