In depth

Verdict

Smilingvalentine can land the opener at the expense of Anatar and Knight¿s Emperor. The selection looks weighted to win again after success at Ludlow last month when beating Knight¿s Emperor by two and a half lengths. That was his first win in ten starts and back in the same grade he has to be respected once again. Knight¿s Emperor has run twice since and looked exposed on both occasions and will have to improve if he is to reverse the placings. Anatar comes from a yard doing well at present but he disappointed when pulling up over fences last time out. He has been running against better horses than this lately and back in selling grade he is defiantly worth noting in the betting market. But for the winner we return to Smilingvalentine.
