In depth
Verdict
A moderate affair to get proceedings under way, with Bungee Jumper taken to defy topweight at the expense of Corleto and Kety Star. At the age of 13, Bungee Jumper has seen better days, but not too many due to a number of problems. Formerly with the late Tim Forster, he went out of training but the owner suggested bringing him back as he appeared to be thriving. He was proved right as the veteran rolled back the years to score from Flahive's First at Uttoxeter. That was really his first full race in two years as he was brought down on his comeback last month. With Tom George's stable in form, Corleto, in the Brian Kilpatrick colours, should make his presence felt, while Kety Star, at the age of five, has his best years ahead of him. Martin Pipe saddles Kingsbridge who has an absence to come-that will not matter too much, with his stable's record of getting them ready first time, but even so he and the rest of them face a revitalised Bungee Jumper who gets the vote.
