In depth
Verdict
Three hoses stand out in this maiden contest namely Leche Bottes, Rosemauve and Frontier with the vote going to the last named. Frontier was a winner on the level at Chester last month and has run well in defeat on both his last two starts on the flat at both Chepstow and Windsor. He quite possibly should have won his last hurdle race where he came from well off the pace to finish a fast finishing second behind Shamdian at Hereford. If transforming his recent flat form his is taken to score. Leche Bottes has been highly tried. He ran down the field in a Listed hurdle at Aintree in the Spring and the fact that he got beat in a Class D contest at Southwell last time out shows his limitations and for that reason he is avoided. Rosemauve is another Pipe runner who is less exposed but still needs to improve on his fourth first time out to figure in the first three here. For the winner we return to Frontier.
