Verdict
Red Dahlia, Grimshaw and Sigwells Club Boy are three against the field in an open finale and the tentative vote goes to Red Dahlia. The selection was a good second behind Precious Lucy last time out and need only reproduce that effort to win this.Grimshaw rates the main danger on his latest second behind Lady Ward but he gave the impression he would be suited by further and for that reason he is opposed. Sigwells Club Boy is another that could go well he was a fair third behind Kalambari in a better trace last time out but he pulls very hard and again he may find one or two to good. Of the remainder Mounts Boy would have a chance on his best form but he gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him last time and for that reason he is opposed and for the winner we return to Red Dahlia.
