In depth

Verdict

Tusk is taken to bounce back to form, he was slightly disappointing last time out when a well backed favourite when he could only stay on at one pace behind Brazillian Terrace last time, however if he is given a more attacking ride he will be hard to beat. Just Say Yes Tusk's stable companion rates his main danger she was a good second behind Lady McNair last time out and that form has been franked many times since and goes on the ground and Steve Drowne has opted to ride her. Brain Box is another to consider off what looks a fair mark he was fourth last time out at Beverley behind Changing View and this easier course may suit. Californian was a good fifth in a class B handicap last time out behind Mysterinch this is a drop in class and he to is one for the short list despite top weight. Dedham Vale was behind Tusk last time out and there is no reason why he can reverse the placings on these terms. The booking of Kieren Fallon catches the eye for Victory Sign and a market move would be significant. Kavi won a seller in good style last time out but this looks tougher. The remainder will have to show improve form to take a hand in the finish.
