In depth

Verdict

This is a very competitive handicap with a few of these likely to do better at three. Molly Valentine won over track and trip on soft ground last month, with favourite Eurythmical only third, but Double O didn’t appear to stay upped in distance at Wolverhampton in October. Flame Of Kodiac was raised 6lb for his Wolverhampton win but Benoit De La Sayette’s claim halves the extra. ZARGA, a nicely-bred daughter of Camelot, doesn’t look badly treated on her handicap bow having shown promise in maidens last year. She gets the nod, though October’s Chelmsford winner Creme Chantilly is even less exposed and Silver Nightfall has won twice at Newcastle this year. Bloomwithgrace is worth a market check, as is the Leicester runner-up Mexicali Rose, with Star Child and Nuthatch others to consider.
