      Verdict

      Kingmania, from a yard that’s hit the ground running, made a winning return to action at Southwell and is only 3lb higher. Canoodled ended the last campaign by beating a big field at Newmarket with plenty in hand but BELHAVEN got no sort of run at Redcar a couple of weeks ago and can make amends here. Sly Madam won on the soft at Windsor last month but only beat one home when favourite at Brighton five days later.
