Idilico was only second in a seller over hurdles on Monday. Russian Rumour is a strong stayer who will have no issues with the going and he looks the pick of the older horses but may struggle to give weight to the three-year-olds. The dam of MEDIEVAL GOLD (NAP) finished third in the Ascot Stakes so it will be a surprise if this big step up in trip doesn’t suit William Haggas’ charge, who is blinkered today and didn’t handle the Polytrack last time.
