    Verdict

Idilico was only second in a seller over hurdles on Monday. Russian Rumour is a strong stayer who will have no issues with the going and he looks the pick of the older horses but may struggle to give weight to the three-year-olds. The dam of MEDIEVAL GOLD (NAP) finished third in the Ascot Stakes so it will be a surprise if this big step up in trip doesn’t suit William Haggas’ charge, who is blinkered today and didn’t handle the Polytrack last time. Club Manager was second over 1m6f at Bath and Greek Giant was only beaten a head over that trip at Chelmsford but Spiced Rum has switched stables since a third at Beverley.
