In depth
Verdict
Go Mo deserves to win a race of this nature having found just Paris Bell too good in each of his last two starts and is bound to be popular with backers but Sylvester Kirk's colt may find this coming too soon after his latest effort and preference is for Doitforreel, who gets the vote over Skiddaw Wolf. The selection is set to go up 12lbs in future handicaps having run with credit in a Listed race at Newmarket last week. She is hard to oppose and makes more appeal than Reg Hollinshead's Chilly Cracker, who has gone up 6lbs for his win at Bath last time. Alan Bailey's Mytton's Bell ran out the convincing winner of a Catterick seller on Tuesday and has to be respected although a 7lb penalty makes life tougher for her here. The consistent Skiddaw Wolf has obvious place claims and cannot be dismissed entirely, along with Piddies Pride who showed improved form in similar company at Yarmouth last time. Willie Muir's Cree and Paul Blockley's Hits Only Cash, the mount of Kieren Fallon, are others to consider but Doitforreel ran well at Newmarket last time and is hard to oppose on that evidence.
