Verdict
Monte Pattino found one too good here last time and we will take him on with SHY who is preferred to Rare Ruby. Monte Pattino won an apprentice handicap in good style but he then was a beaten favourite here last month when he chased home Zefooha. He should be good enough to make the frame but we prefer the claims of Shy. Peter Winkworth's filly made a really pleasing return to action at Bath last month when she finished second behind Where's Susie. She had been off the track for 228-days prior to that so she should come on for the run and she races here off what could be a very fair mark. Rare Ruby ran well on her return from a break over 2m here last time when she chased home Caoba. She is dropped in trip which will not be a problem and she can go well. Clive Cox has his string in good form so Murcar, who won well at Newbury last month, is another to consider. But Shy looks a nice filly and she gets our vote.
