        Verdict

        Ryan Moore gets the leg-up on First Eleven but the latter finished a long way behind stablemate and Sandown runner-up Sevenna Star last month and will need a big improvement to turn that form around. SAM GOLD is preferred with further progress expected over this longer trip having just failed to catch the winner over 7f at Newbury on his latest start. Merlin Magic disappointed in soft going at Ascot last time but should figure now rated 84 and makes more appeal than the likes of Danceteria and Regal Director.
