In depth
Verdict
Dixie Belle is suited by the terms of this race and gets a narrow vote ahead of Ajigolo, Boogie Street and Green Manalishi. Mick Quinlan's filly has put in two solid displays recently and could be ready to strike. She gets eight pounds and more from this field and it could certainly make a difference. For example Ajigolo is rated 98, but is giving away 16 pounds to our selection who is rated 93. It is probably the best chance this season for Dixie Belle to record a win. Quite a few of these have the ability to win this but have lost their way at present including Ajigolo and Boogie Street. The last named was rated 111 when winning at Newmarket last October, but has been well beaten three times this season. If he returns to his best he will be hard to beat. Green Manalishi is one that is running well. He wasn't beaten far in a Group three event at Goodwood last time and must come into the argument here. A terrific contest to look forward to and Dixie Belle may well take first prize.
