In depth

Verdict

It was soft ground when COCHISE (NAP) won over 1m6f here last time. He ended last year with a victory over 2m1f at Bath so today’s trip holds no fears for Roger Charlton’s charge. Contrebasse has a shout on a recent second at Ripon when finishing in front of Endlessly but Travel Lightly remains 9lb higher than when last successful on the all-weather. Elham Valley drops down in class having returned a losing favourite at Chester while Call My Bluff notched-up a hat-trick last year and will be sharper for a recent outing. Soros debuts on this surface having won at Southwell and Atomic Jack placed at the same track last time.
