    Verdict

A number of frustrating characters here with the Dettori factor likely to propel Etching towards the head of the market. James Fanshawe's mare looked to have a golden opportunity to put Faraway Lady in her place last time out but she shirked the issue when asked to do so and may not be one to trust implicitly. Rouge Blanc has been a boon for each-way backers but not really for anyone else. A recent second to Anak Pekan would be good enough to land this event if she is in the mood. Aveiro is very much of interest from Brendan Powell. Formerly a useful performer for Charlie Morlock; it would be foolish to ignore any market support today. Ela Jay has been well beaten over two miles on a number of occasions while Jenavive is at least unexposed and looks to have shown some improvement since stepping up in trip. In a race where the market is best watched for clues, Rouge Blanc is tentatively selected although Aveiro is seriously watched for any market support.
