          Verdict

          Asbo looks a horse on the way back and is taken to land this modest handicap from Smirfy's Night and Coranglais. Jon Scargill's five-year-old was running well off marks in the sixties last season and showed she was almost ready to strike when a promising sixth behind Firenze in a better race than this last time. She is very well treated this afternoon and the booking of Frankie Dettori is another big plus. Smirfy's Night returned from a long break to finish a promising fourth over course and distance last time and should go well at decent odds. Meanwhile top-weight Coranglais is from a yard in form and merits close inspection on the pick of last seasons form. Of the others Labelled With Love stands out on winter all-weather form, but Asbo is the pick of the weights this afternoon and gets our vote.
