In depth

Formwatch

Dancing Al Has shown enough in two runs this season to suggest he is capable of landing a very weak finale. He went off at big odds over course and distance last month but ran really well to finish third of 17 behind Pride Of India, with German import Argamia two lengths behind in fourth. The latter has gone on to be placed at Southwell, while the winner has subsequently followed up, beating Ulshaw over 8 lengths. Meanwhile, Dancing Al has proved his run was no fluke by running a good second over shorter at Brighton and deserves to record his maiden victory here.
