In depth

Verdict

Storm Clear looks on the upgrade after shaping promisingly when stepped up to this trip to finish runner-up in a Newmarket handicap off a mark of 75 earlier this month. The son of Mujadil made most of the running and rallied strongly when headed to give the impression that a race of this nature should be well within his compass. Mythic makes a belated return having shown some ability in a backend Newmarket maiden and merits respect while Henry Cecil introduces the well-bred Verasina who would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to figure at this level.
