      Verdict

This doesn't look that strong a maiden, but while Cayman Breeze is flattered by his current mark, he along with Merlin's Dancer and the filly Go Polar look the most likely winners, with the pin coming down on the side of Cayman Breeze. Ed Dunlop's colt didn't look fully wound up on his seasonal debut at Newmarket and that edged will certainly have put an edge on him. He can take care of Merlin's Dancer, who pulled far too hard at Newmarket on his latest outing to do himself justice. Providing he settles better here he should be involved in the finish, along with the filly Go Polar, who is a half-sister to the progressive Curfew, and will find this company more to her liking after chasing the likes of No Time and Rectangle home at Ascot. Others to consider include Ridgeback, who has a good draw next to the stands' side rails, and Pip Payne's filly Taiyo, who is open to improvement, but may do better when she goes handicapping.
