      Verdict

      The form figures of DESERT may not look particularly enticing but she was not been beaten far in decent Newbury and Newmarket maidens and was only 4l off her classy stable companion, Gubbass, in the Super Sprint. The move into nurseries rates a positive and her pilot's 3lb claim is another plus. Isladaay has proved consistent over the minimum trip and now tackles 6f for the first time, whilst the best of Prodigious Blue's four efforts brings him into contention and he too will benefit from his apprentice's claim. Raneen has been noted weakening late on the last twice over 7f and therefore should appreciate the move back to 6f.
