Verdict
This is a very competitive handicap but we like the look of Flash Ram, with Johnny Parkes and Scottish Exile just two of the dangers. Tim Easterby's colt improved with each outing last season, finishing off with a highly creditable third behind a Little Bit Yarie at Hamilton. This doesn't appear to be too strong a contest and with further improvement expected Flash Ram could well take this before moving on to better events. Johnny Parkes landed his maiden at Carlisle before running well in a valuable nursery at Newmarket and must make his presence felt here. Scottish Exile is one with guaranteed fitness having had a couple of outings at Southwell. His turf form last season was progressive as well so he also looks set to take a hand in the finish. Kuringai is another who will strip fit after finishing an excellent fourth behind Toronto Heights at Lingfield recently, however with the most scope for improvement Flash Ram is given our vote.
