In depth

Verdict

Sea La Rosa’s only defeat so far this year came in soft going but she beat Love Child, Sea The Sky and Jannah Flower at Deauville in August. The Haggas filly also won the Lillie Langtry over today’s trip at Goodwood before that with Emily Dickinson back in third. The latter’s stablemate Perotan steps up in distance partnered by Yutaka Take while Listed winner Ottilien will relish the underfoot conditions and David Menuisier won this in 2020. But VERRY ELLEEGANT is taken to gain compensation for missing the cut in the Arc as she’s a winner on testing ground at the highest level in South Africa. She finished third for her new yard in the Prix Foy here last month and should go close in this.
