In depth

Verdict

Warm Heart relished the return to fast going when landing the Yorkshire Oaks with Sea Silk Road back in fifth though the Ballydoyle filly wouldn’t want today’s ground much softer. Above The Curve came up short in a Group 1 at Deauville last time having earlier finished in front of BLUE ROSE CEN in the Nassau. But French 1000 Guineas and Oaks winner would arguably have gone close to winning at Goodwood with a clear run and this extra distance may also bring further progress from Christopher Head’s filly. Left Sea and Pensee Du Jour have plenty to find with the selection while Melo Melo steps up in class representing last year’s winning yard.
