Rouge et Noir, Poor Tactics and True Temper are the three to consider here with Poor Tactics getting the vote. True Temper is still a maiden in over thirty starts and therefore has to be treated with caution but his recent runs have been good. He was a staying on third over a similar trip last time and it would be no surprise to see him reach a place again. Poor Tactics has been mainly campaigned in Ireland and although a winner last time, it was over a year since his previous success. He was impressive when scoring here a fortnight ago, and raised nine pounds for that win, he can go well again. Rated 51 on the Flat, Rouge et Noir ran away with a novice hurdle here a fortnight ago, and although well beaten on the Flat since, he is to be respected although top weight may just anchor him. A chance is taken that Poor Tactics¿ latest win was no fluke and he is the selection.
